Vanity for $50 reworked

In February, I bought these 3 cabinets at "The Restore" for $50.  I knew that they had potential to be our bathroom vanity even though they were 3 separate units, only 26" tall due to no toe-kick base, with a golden oak finish:

Now that we are done with the tile floor, we need to get the cabinets looking like this vanity:

Vanities these days are around 32-33" high.  To add 7" of cabinet height, I will add furniture feet, base molding and a crown molding to the units. has a great tutorial on adding feet to a bathroom vanity, using a plan from Ana White:

Right now I'm stuck in the weekly routine of school and bedtime.  I am finding time in the afternoon though to work on some art work for our entryway.  More on that next week . . .

  1. I am so excited for you! Your bathroom is going to look awesome! You guys have done a great job on your house! This week I took the carpet off the stairs, sanded like crazy and put the first coat of stain on the treads. Hooray for no matted craziness on the stairs!
